The Baby Show, a highlight of the festival, is set to take place on Sunday, August 9, 2024, at 10 am at the fairgrounds. As we celebrate over 50 years of being a part of the New Tecumseth community, this year’s theme is “Walking the Red Carpet.” We invite all parents to dress their little ones in their most stylish outfits, with extra points awarded for accessories that add a touch of glamour to the red carpet look.
Classes are divided by age, with categories including Best Theme Dress Baby, Parent Child Look-Alike, Best Smiling Baby, Fussiest Baby (to honor parents who may be experiencing fatigue), Sleepiest Baby, and an exciting new category where parents can bring a picture of themselves as babies, allowing the judges to pick who looks the same at that age. Additionally, twins will be registered as separate babies, ensuring each child has their moment to shine.
Registration is open now, and the entry fee is $10 per baby. Pre-register before August 1, 2024, to receive a free day pass to the festival. Registration forms can be downloaded from www.allistonpotatofestival.com, and completed forms along with e-transfers can be sent to apfpayments@gmail.com. Registration will remain open until 5 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
On the day of the event, all registered babies and guardians should check in between 9:00 and 9:45 am at the pavilion on the fairgrounds. Please note that an adult of 18 years or older must accompany the baby into the judging area.
